Parback Rings
Parback Rings are usually made from Nitrile, Viton or P.T.F.E. and are used to stop the migration of the o ring into the sealing gap under pressure, one side will usually be contoured to enhance a snug fit.
Back-up rings (anti-extrusion rings)are fitted to prevent the extrusion of o rings and quad rings (x rings) under extreme pressure. Back-up rings are generally fitted where the system pressure exceeds 1500PSI. The o ring groove has to be enlarged to accommodate the back- up ring…

Solid Back Up Ring also known as endless back up rings are usually used when there are rotational problems which could cause the spiral to unwind. Solid back up rings are made from virgin P.T.F.E.
Solid or endless split is as a solid back up ring but with a split at 30 degrees to ease fitting.
Solid Split Back Up Ring or endless split is as a solid back up ring but with a split at 30 degrees to ease fitting also made in virgin P.T.F.E
Spiral Backup Ring is the most commonly used, being effectively self- adjusting to diametrical tolerances. Spiral backup rings are manufactured in virgin P.T.F.E.
